uplink currently operates at a lower speed 100 Mbps
Hello all,
Sorry if my questions are stupid but i am a novice.
I just bought 2 NWA210AX and installed them in my home in order to have a good wifi signal on ground floor and first floor.
My 2 devices are directly connected to an ethernet cable with POE.
I activated the AP smart mesh.
On the access point board, one of my device indicates an alert status : uplink ocurrently operates at a lower speed 100 Mbps.
Could you help me to solve that problem.
Thanks a lot

What model is the POE? switch/injector?
Can you test the unit next to the POE and another cable.0 -
Hi @Khyronn ,
Thank you for raising a question. The uplink shows 100Mbps is the result of automatic negotiation and 15m won't be a problem. As Peter mentioned, you may try to change the new cables (CAT 5/5E) and connect to the different port of switch. These simple test can help us verify the problem.Best Regards,
Silvia

Hi all,
i just tested the access point with a direct rj45 cable of 15 m (cat 5e) and it works (on all switch ports). So, you're right, i have to check the rj45 in wall (i hope it is just a problem of rj45 socket and i won't have to replace the cable...).
Thanks a lot for your help !0

Hello, Thanks for your help.
The switch is a little POE MOKERLINK G083MS (http://www.mokerlink.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=377), it is used both for the video surveillance system and to provide power to the two access points.
I already tested a direct connection to the switch (the one in trouble) and it works with a 0.5 meters RJ45 cable (the twxo access points become green)...
First, i thought the distance was too far ( the two access points are at 15 m from the switch) but one of them works perfectly.0 -
So bad news is must be the cable one of the twisted pairs has a defect your going to have to pull a new cable run.
