Answer is "simple": IEEE 802.3af compliance.
Moreover, 44V is minimum available if necessary at the switch port, 57V is the maximum at the port, 350mA as top current. At the endpoint, minimum is 37V, same maximum.
Long story short, if your current is not "that" high and the voltage is not triple or quadruple, the user device will take advantage of the higher voltage for lower the current drain. DC-powered HiFi amplifier can take advantage of +12/25% more voltage or 50-100% more current, with a switching power adapter, gaining better drive management for the speakers (more controlled basses). Some even more, but refer to the specs of the amplifier producer.
Moreover, Ubiquiti declares compliance with 802.3af. If the AP get fried... IMVHO the AP producer should be questioned for reasons why happened.

And no. I have no relations with Zyxel...

Specs sheet of GS1500-24P don't provide much details about PoE features...
except "802.3af support". Which should mean that your AP should work if requires the same PoE specs (up to PoE Class 3)
In case of PoE+ (802.3at/PoE Class 4) could not work...

    Hi @Hun,

Just like mMontana said, GS1500-24P only support 802.3af.
    If the
Ubiquiti WiFi unit isn't a 802.3af PD, it can't be powered up by GS1500-24P.
May I know which model is your Ubiquiti WiFi unit?

Montana, sorry I'm not sure if I follow you on this.....what info should I provide you with....?
    The data sheet says this:
    Power Method 802.3af/A PoE 24V Passive PoE (Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8 Return)

    Hi @Hun,

The UniFi data sheet shows the Power Method 802.3af/A PoE 24V Passive PoE (Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8 Return), which means this AP can be powered up by directly connecting to a PoE switch or powered up by connecting with a PoE injecter.
    So, you can
connect your AP to GS1500 directly since this AP is a 802.3af PD.

    Great info!
Since the original injector supplies 24V and the switch port is capable of 48V, how is guaranteed that the AP wont get fried?
