Atom IT

Summary

With its strong presence in the education sector, Atom IT joined the Department for Education-funded Connect the Classroom project in October 2021. The project’s goal is to improve wireless infrastructure in schools across the UK. To futureproof and modernize UK classrooms, the project required new WiFi 6 networks and any infrastructure required. Atom IT had to complete the network deployment across 50 sites. As an MSP managing these sites, it was critical to select reliable products supported by the easy-to-manage interface to efficiently manage and maintain the new installations.
“We needed something we could easily replicate as the rollout moved on,” Jamie Fowler, Director of Atom IT said. “Having already got Nebula Cloud Networking Solution in place at other sites, we knew from experience it was the way we wanted to go. Thirty sites rolled out between October 2021 and February 2022 successfully and Nebula made things as smooth as they could be.” Atom IT installed more than 500 WiFi 6 APs, over 50 10G core switches and nearly 200 multi-gigabit edge switches managed by Nebula. The Multi-Gigabit switches provide up to 10G connectivity on traditional copper cabling and are futureproof for agile network expansion. The cloud-managed WiFi 6 network gives Atom IT excellent coverage of the sites with comprehensive network management, all from a single pane of glass. Meanwhile, the seven-year Nebula Pro license is giving the customer peace of mind, guaranteeing smooth, worry-free operation for the long run.
