NWA50AX managment vlan

Good afternoon.

There is NWA50AX
Management Mode: standalone
Radio X OP Mode: AP Mode

When configuring a management vlan (not As Native VLAN)
Wifi clients cannot get an IP address by DHCP.
If you do not use management vlan, then everything works.

Please help me.

    I solved the problem.
    My management vlan is 2055.
    The network is in the default untagged vlan 1.
    On the switch to which the NWA50AX is connected, I configured the port as tagged 1 and 2055.
    Usually vlan 1 is used untagged.

    From your description, we assume that your SSID VLAN ID matches with the management VLAN. 
    As you uncheck the box “As Native VLAN”, all your traffic packets will be tagged packets. Therefore, you have to configure a DHCP server at your gateway for this VLAN interface. Can you help me to check if your gateway is configured the DHCP server for certain VLAN interface? And check the VLAN setting of your switch if you have a switch between your AP and gateway.

    Hi

    I am attaching pictures for information.
    I have DHCP in vlan 2055 and vlan 1.
    The client does not receive any IP.
    DHCP server receive dhcp discovery packet and send offer packet, but client does not receive any IP.

    Hi @DmitriyP

     

    We have tried to build the same topology as yours, and created both VLAN interfaces on the gateway.

    Gateway (DHCP Server) – AP ))) Wireless client

    In this scenario, the clients successfully get IP from my DHCP server.

     

    May I know if there any switch between your AP and gateway? If there is, please help me to check that the VLAN configuration of switch, so that switch may pass the DHCP offer packets with VLAN tagged back to the certain VLAN.
