    Hi @nox79,

    Thanks for sharing your idea.
Could you share why you need this feature and your scenario?

    Hi,
This option can be really great to handle by Switch and not the use of the external DHCP servers in the network.
Including this option will be the perfect switch for me, this is the only option i miss .

    Regards
    Robert

    Hi @nox79,

Could you share why you want to get DHCP IP from XS1930 instead of a DHCP server?
This is because the XS1930’s position is near the end-device (access layer switch). Mostly, the role of DHCP server is on core layer switch, firewall or Server. So this feature is supported on high level Layer 3 switches like XS3800 and XGS4600.

    Hi..
    sorry for late response.
like I say in previous msgs, to let the switch manage all the IPs in network and not depend the external devices (like in my case raspberry DHCP server) in the network to handle IPs.

Without this in case failover external device DHCP server network not work.

instead if switch have dhcp serve in switch always the nerwork will be up because not depends of external devices.

With this xs1930 will be the perfect switch.

    Regards
    PD. Sorry for my English..:(

    Hi @nox79,

Thanks for your sharing and consider our products.
But the XS1930 is an access layer switch that does not provide a DHCP server function.
We recommend you can use a firewall or a DHCP server for DHCP service.

Btw, i just update to the 4.80 version and i see i can upgrade license to have Access to layer L3 options..
In previous msgs i see you put me this "
So this feature is supported on high level Layer 3 switches ", so not possible?

    Hi @nox79,

Yes, the XS1930 series switch won't support DHCP server function since its product positioning is lite L3 smart managed switch.
And the access L3 License does not support DHCP server function.
For more information about what features the access L3 license support, please check here or the user guide chapter 1.1.1.
