USG40W Local-AP going offline
We've had several USG40W devices, most on the 4.32 firmware, that have an ongoing issue of the Local-AP going offline after the device has been online for a few days, preventing anyone from being able to connect to the wireless.
The logs shows the connection failures being caused by Auth failure, but this only occurs when the Local-AP is showing as an offline AP. And we've verified the correct wireless password is being used.
As soon as we restart the device, the Local-AP shows as online and users can connect to the wireless without issue.
I have seen a few similar posts, but they have been the result of security policy issues or running too many APs without licensing, but all of these devices have no additional APs to manage, and all work fine until the Local-AP goes offline.

Hi there,I've a very similar issue as SINC with an USG40W at a customer site. The firmware is V4.32(AALB.0).Since a month, this customer complained he can't connect to the wifi. Once I rebooted the USG device, the local-ap (which is the only one by the way) turn on for few days then turns off again.I've also check if the correct password was use so it's not the issue here. Especially because after reboot the users can connect again. While composing this message I've checked an other customer using the same device with the same firmware and just realized it's the same behavior. In this case 2 other AP are connected and handled by the USG40W (model NWA-5123-AC).Can you please help me to find out if it's a configuration issue, a licence issue or something else? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ditto with the above. Just saw one of my usg40w with the local ap in "offline" mode. I have 2 external nw5121-in that are unaffected. Check your system by going to monitor tab / wireless / AP Information. and check status. These are at high traffic restaurants so really need faster more transparent alerting from Zyxel when they uncover a firmware problem. Will try the above firmware.

Ok I have all my usg40w's patched and they were all going offline after a 2 or 3 days. That is a serious bug and firmware should have been pulled alerted. Let's not do that again. I like my Zyxel equipment, but not that type of service.1

Hi @iSpeed,
The bug fix for offline radio issue is merged to the next official firmware 4.33 which will be released in late December.
Here are the firmware 4.32 with bug fix for your verification before 4.33 is officially released.
