Hello,

I manage different WAC6103D-I access points either with a NXC2500 or with a USG210.

I see that the firmware for the WAC6103D-I is on the USG210 the latest version: V6.28(AAXH.0) than on the NXC2500: V6.25(AAXH.8)

So, when I connect an access point from one to another controller first it up- or downgrades always the firmware.

How can I have the newest AP firmware on the NXC2500?

Accepted Solution

    Hi @FrankLauer ,

I would like to provide updated information. The most recent firmware version available for the WAC6103D-I on the NXC2500's AP firmware list is V6.25(AAXH.8). As per our plan, we may not be upgrading the NXC2500's AP firmware list any further.

If you wish to use V6.28(AAXH.0) for a WAC6103D-I managed by the NXC2500, you can do so by following these steps:

    1. Go to NXC2500 > Configuration > Wireless > AP Management > AP Policy > Firmware Updating > Updating Mode, and choose Manual, click Apply

    2. Download the WAC6103D-I's V6.28(AAXH.0) firmware here and upgrade the firmware by FTP.

Thank you for response. However the check I made already before. At the moment I have these results:

    USG210:

    V6.40 Patch 6 Success, 2023-04-18 17:51:06

    FW for WAC6103D-I Local / V6.28(AAXH.0)

    NXC2500:

    V6.30 Patch 4-6.45 Patch 0 / Success, 2023-04-18 17:51:47

    FW for WAC6103D-I Local / V6.25(AAXH.8)

Pressing the button "Apply" results in this message: "Runtime firmware and available firmware are the same version."

    Thanks, that worked for me.

And with a FTP client like FileZilla it also easy to upgrade a lot of APs in short time by FTP.
