As MarkoD mentioned, we recently encountered an issue with the GEO-IP DB that cannot be compressed completely. This issue will be resolved in the upcoming V5.37 firmware release. As a result, we have temporarily halted the release of the new GEO-IP DB until the V5.37 firmware becomes available. The scheduled release date for the V5.37 firmware is July 10th.

I don't know, but how often did they update earlier? Some databases may update less often due to administration and management issues, or geopolitical reasons. Anyway, I will have to wait for a factual reply from someone at ZyXEL.
