    Hello,

    I have replaced my NWA50AX AP after a flash memory failure that was preventing me to apply software update. I have replaced it with a NWA90AX PRO and I must say, it is an horrible device.

    I see people complaining about rebooting randomly when using the device, the worst part of it is that it reboots my local PoE device thath is powering it up.

    I have read on Amazon where I bought mine that the issue is common. I see that this post if 1 year old and so far the issue remains. I did buy a NWA50AX PRO at the same time to extend the network but I had to replace the NWA90AX PRO by the other NWA50AX PRO and I did not have the same issue as the NWA90AX PRO, so I can tell that the failure is coming by some part used in the NWA90AX PRO that can't cope with normal usage, I have only 2 clients connected to the AP.

    I am now returning it. Bad choice.

    I hope you will take seriously the matter in consideration and make the appropriate action to solve it.

    Hi @ErgoSan

    The reboot issue with the NWA90AX PRO was addressed in firmware version V6.55P1, released in April 2023.

    Upon reviewing the Firmware V6.65 Patch 1 - the latest firmware's release notes for the NWA90AX PRO, there are no references to reboot problems, either for bug fixes or known issues. Additionally, there have been no reports from users of V6.65 Patch 1 regarding reboot issues.

    Since the NWA90AX PRO is no longer in your possession, it is challenging for us to determine the cause of the reboots. If we exclude the AP itself as the cause, the issue might be related to the power system, such as an insufficient overall PoE budget. Note that the NWA90AX PRO requires PoE (802.3at) with a power draw of 20.5 W.

    It is also possible that the PoE-supported device's reboot caused the NWA90AX PRO to reboot as well.
