GS1900-24E Disable management
I would like to disable the management of my GS1900-24E as It keeps taking the 192.0.0.1 IP from the router I want to use.
I takes the IP-address everytime power is cycled, which happes from time to time for different reasons.
I have tried setting it to a different static IP but as it boots faster than my router, it assumes the routing role, which is undesired other reasons.
I want to dumb it down, maybe even to a layer-2.
Anybody has any clue how to do this?
Best regards,
Sebastain

Log in the switch and disable DHCP and set a static IP.0

It has been a while but I still want to ask if and how it is possible to disable all management functions of a GS1900-24 Switch. I am running this side by side with a FritzBox 7590 and the AVM support suspects this switch or rather its management functions to be the culprit in my occasional inability of some devices in our household to properly communicate with the Fritzbox. Only way to troubleshoot this would be to make this switch "dumb" as the OP put it…. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for your help

Hi @mcconnor
To investigate the issue further, could you please provide details about your network topology? Specifically, we need information on the current VLAN management and VLAN settings on your GS1900-24 switch.
Additionally, has AVM support identified any specific management functions that might be causing the problem?
Thank you.
