Throughput when MLO is enabled
Hello,
I’m currently testing the Zyxel WBE660S with MLO enabled using iPerf3, but the throughput is significantly lower than expected, reaching only about 350 Mbps. My test setup includes a PC connected to the access point via Ethernet and a Dell XPS (with MLO support) connected over Wi-Fi.

Hi @Aditi,
We used a Linux server (Intel i7) (1G link) and a PC with WiFi 7 adaptor to test iperf as your topology and we got this result:
Linux server:
PC with WiFi 7 adaptor:
The bottleneck is more likely on one of your PC.

I was seeing similar throughput due to what turned out to be a poorly connected antenna wire. ~350 Mbps before it was fixed, consistently over 2 Gbps and often over 3 Gbps after fixing it. Dell Alienware x15 R1 with an Intel Killer BE1750. Obviously can't be sure that's your problem, but may be worth checking.

Hello,
I received approx 1G when MLO enabled. I was atleast expecting around 4-5G. Is there a way to I can achieve more throughput?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Ben,
this is my setup. I am running an iperf test. I am not sure about the antenna you mentioned.

Hi @Aditi,
As we communicate on Nebula Live Chat, the reason you only have the 1G throughput result is that you connect your desktop to the LAN port of WBE660S, which is a 1G port. It is recommended to have a switch that supports 10G so you can connect the WBE660S and the desktop to the 10G ports and test the maximum performance of the WBE660S.
The first suggestion is XS1930-12HP. With this PoE switch, you can directly connect your WBE660S without connecting an additional power cable.
The second suggestion is XGS1250-12, which supports three 10G copper ports and one 10G SFP+ port. In addition, this switch doesn't support PoE, so the WBE660S needs to connect an additional power cable.
