I try to connect with the OpenVPN client to a Zyxel Flex 100H with SSL VPN.
if I look in the logs the SSL VPN client IP assigned is 192.168.200.2
If I look in the command window I see an 169 address what means that the VPN client did nog get an IP address. I can't get an RDP session despite I am connected.
What goes wrong?

Firmware version is 1.30(ABXF.0)

    Hi @SoftSol ,

If I look in the command window I see an 169 address what means that the VPN client did nog get an IP address. I can't get an RDP session despite I am connected.

Let me help clarify our questions:

    1. Could you please provide a screenshot of the "command window" you mentioned?
    2. Regarding the "169 address" - are you referring to the VPN user's IP address?
    3. When you say "I can't get an RDP session despite being connected" - are you unable to access other network devices via remote tools while connected to VPN?

Additionally, to help troubleshoot this issue, we can check your firewall settings directly if you provide WAN access. Instructions for enabling WAN access to have been sent to your Community inbox.

    HI @SoftSol ,

Using the test VPN account you created, our testing confirmed the user got the IP as 192.168.200.2, and successful connectivity, including gateway ping and Internet access as the screenshot we shared via the private message.

Since your laptop didn't get IP, we believe the issue may be related to Internet connectivity. We recommend:

    • Verifying your laptop's Internet connection
    • Reimporting your OpenVPN configuration file (remove the existing one first)
