Hi,

I've upgraded to the last firmware my Zyxel XGS1250-12 (XGS1250-12_V2.00(ABWE.0)C0.bix) and after doing that and reboot normally, all the ports 2,5 GB don't work at all.

Does anyone know how can I solve this? Thanks!

    Hi @hetosu,

Since this is a layer 1 issue, could you help with some cross-tests to clarify? You might need to isolate the switch before cross-testing.

    1. What are your symptoms? The multi-giga ports cannot link up or cannot link at 2.5 GB?
    2. Connect two switch multi-giga ports as a loop to see if it can link up at multi-giga speed or 1G.
    3. Connect other 2.5G devices to the multi-giga port to check if it can link up.
    4. Find a new cable to connect and clarify.

    Thanks.

    Hi Melen,

    I answer between the lines:

    1. What are your symptoms? The multi-giga ports cannot link up or cannot link at 2.5 GB?
      1. Answer: cannot link up at all
    2. Connect two switch multi-giga ports as a loop to see if it can link up at multi-giga speed or 1G.
      1. Answer: No signal with even with new cable
    3. Connect other 2.5G devices to the multi-giga port to check if it can link up.
      1. Answer: No signal with even with new cable
    4. Find a new cable to connect and clarify.
      1. Answer: Same result: no link up, no lights

    Kind regards

    Hi @hetosu,

Thanks for the detailed information. From your information, it is more likely that the XGS1250 has a hardware issue.

    Could you share:

    1. Which firmware version did you upgrade from?
    2. What serial number is our XGS1250?
