WAN Trunk Passive issue

Hi,

I have 3 wan ports. If i set all to active in my WAN trunk with wrr, it will use all wan connections to load balance. However when i set WAN1 to passive, it seems to only use WAN2 and now WAN3. It seems not able to load balance between WAN2 and WAN3 when WAN1 is set to passive.

I want to set WAN1 as backup when WAN2 and WAN3 failed. Am i doing correctly when i set WAN1 to passive?

    Hi @phayze

If your configuration is the same as below, you do it correctly.

    Hi Melen,

Yes, except that one of the active wan, i set parameter as 5. But it wont use the last wan port. I set wan1(parameter1) as passive and wan2(parameter 1) and wan3(parameter5) as active. It will only use wan2.

    Hi @phayze,

Thanks for the update. Could you help to share some information so we can investigate this issue better?

    1. Your model.
    2. Your firmware version.
    3. A screenshot of the interface traffic statistics. Please select your WAN interfaces in the monitor interface column and change the poll interval to "current" to record the traffic on each interface. The record period can be 10 ~ 15 seconds. Below is an example.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Model is FWA710, Firmware is the latest, v1.18(ACGC.4)C0. As my WAN1 max is 500Mbps, WAN2 is 1Gbps and WAN3 is 5Gbps, i know it is not using WAN3 because the speedtest is only 1Gbps max no matter how many times i tried. The graph also show only wan2 is being used. When all is set active, i able get over 6Gbps for speedtest.

    Hi @phayze,

I don't remember the FWA710 has three WAN interfaces. Do you mean USG FLEX 700H?
