What switches are currently recommended for Dante use?

It is still 1930 and 2220?

  • GS2220 can do two port stacking. Would that work with Dante/IGMP?
  • It it possible to mange Dante-relevant IGMP-settings in Nebula? I would really love to be able to use Nebula for easier remote control of HoW's with this kind of install.

    Hi @jensskov,

XS3800/XGS2220/XGS2210/GS2220/XMG1930(with L3 license)/XS1930(with L3 license) are the recommended models for Dante usage. For more details, please reference our website:

GS2220 can do two port stacking. Would that work with Dante/IGMP?

GS2220 doesn't support stacking, but XGS2220 supports stacking with two/four port stacking. Stacking mode also supports Dante/IGMP.

It it possible to mange Dante-relevant IGMP-settings in Nebula? I would really love to be able to use Nebula for easier remote control of HoW's with this kind of install.

We recommend using standalone mode for Dante usage since some advanced features that Dante requires are not supported on Nebula. You can reference this guide to configure:

    Hi
Yesterday I upgraded our install to two GS-2220 with newest firmware. For now only 6 channels og audio is transmitted to one receiver unicast. Everything look fine and it worked when using a GS1920. I have not enabled any of the Diffserv and IGMP-options as it's unicast only on a few channels for now.

I have audio yesteday, but today no audio at all :-(

Dante controller is happy with subscriptions except it shows a very high latency on some of the decives. I just swapped the cables over from the old switch and set up VLAN. I guess the latency is the reason I see no audio. But I dont get why I would have latency around 2000ms according to Dante Controller.

Before they had an old Netgear and the GS1920. Audio devices are only connected to one switch and have their own VLAN.

I swticthed to 2 x GS2220 to have the same switche and with the possibility to use multicast anong the way.
