I’m having an issue with the Tagged ports. I have a switch setup on the gs1920 where 1-8 are on 1 vlan, 9-16 another vlan, 17-24 on another. Port 25 is for the wan, which tags the wan at vlan6. I have an issue where if I plug my computer in the wan port and ping end devices, however once I plug in the WAN, getting an APIPA address. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Nathansommer ,

I have an issue where if I plug my computer in the wan port and ping end devices, however once I plug in the WAN, getting an APIPA address.

Could you clarify this situation? Are you saying that when you connect a computer to port 25, the port receives an APIPA address? Also, do you have a DHCP server in your network?

@Zyxel_Judy I'm tagging port 25 (switch 1 - this is the one I'm having issues with) with vid 6. I was able to ping end devices on the other side if the trunk (switch 2), when I plug into port 25. However, when I plug the WAN connection to the router, the devices on the other side aren't getting anything. I did however change the vid from 6 to 1, which I am now able to reach the router over the trunk.

    Hi @Nathansommer ,

Based on your description, we suspect your router may not support VLAN features, which would explain why it cannot read packets tagged with VID 6. Please confirm if your router has VLAN capability.

If you confirm that your router does support VLANs and all router configurations are correct, please provide us with the GS1920's configuration for review.
