Missing BGP-Based VPN Option in USG FLEX 700H New UI

in USG FLEX H Series

Hello,

We have a USG FLEX 700H and need to configure a BGP-based VPN, but I can't find this option in the new firewall UI. In addition, some other options that were available in the previous UI version seem to be missing as well.

Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there a way to enable or access these missing options?

    Hi Judy,

    Thank you for your response. I understand what you're saying, but I can't help feeling disappointed. We just purchased this firewall as an upgrade from the USG 310, and now I have to report to management that the new device lacks basic functionality that the older model had.

    It feels like a step backward that a top-tier device does not include essential features right out of the box. I really hope this gets implemented soon—ideally before 2026. It just doesn’t make sense for a high-end device to be missing such fundamental capabilities. I sincerely hope the company reconsiders this business strategy.

    I still have not tried H series, but I read here and there that "it misses this" "it misses that".

    I seems bad from Zyxel to release products, supposed to "replace" old ones, but that miss features. It's like you buy a new car and you find you have to drive side windows with cranks.

    From a new device, I expect something more, not something less. The exception is if something is deprecated or not used anymore.

    Even the "will be implemented before…" sound unsatisfying. After release, it's ok to add new features, not the ones of previous model. This seems something for beta phase.

    Let's say customers have some need, what are we supposed to tell them?

    "Now we install this, but for an year feature A, B, C will not work"

    Should we say that?
