How can I transfer settings from USG Flex 100 to Flex 500

Hi, I'm upgrading from a Flex 100 to a Flex 500. There are a lot of settings and data in the Flex 100, and rather than have to re-enter all of them into the 500 I'm looking for a utility which can automate at least part of the process. Is there any tool available to help with this, please?

David

    Hi @Meridian30 ,

While there is an automated configuration migration tool available, it only supports converting configurations from the USG FLEX 100 (ZLD device) to the USG FLEX 100H/100HP (uOS device) - which are the same product level but different series.

The tool does not support migration from the USG FLEX 100 to the USG FLEX 500 - both being in the same series.

Understood, but how hard would it be to create a suitable tool for migration within a series? Or can a configuration file from a Flex 100 be loaded directly into a Flex 500?

Thank you for the input :-)

    Hi @Meridian30 ,

Due to the USG FLEX 100 and USG FLEX 500 belonging to different firewall tier levels and having different numbers of ports, it is not possible to directly convert or import configurations from the USG FLEX 100 to the USG FLEX 500.

Shame, looks like a morning spent setting up the 500. Ho Hum.

Thank you all for the input.
