Hello.

I am a new member of the community here so at the outset I would like to welcome everyone.

I'm getting the brand-new Flex 500H ready to go. I have to transfer configuration from Flex 200.

While in the latter I see an option to import DHCP table, in 500H I don't see such possibility. (I am talking about web GUI)

please advise in this regard, because rewriting dozens of records is not a pleasant task.

    Hello @kaktusus,

So far, we do not have a converter tool to convert from USG FLEX 200 to USG FLEX 500H.

I'd like to check with you for more information about your request.

    Please check your PM box.

    Thanks.

    Ivan

What I don't get is on the FLEX200 there is a import option but no export? and more odd there is on the FLEX200H a export option but no import?

    I'm getting more precise:
    FLEX200

    import button

CONFIGURATION → Network → Interface → Ethernet → my interface → Edit → scroll down

    export button
Monitor → Network Status → DHCP Table

    FLEX500H

    Network Status → DHCP Table

I was unable to find the import button.

So FLEX200 export is in Monitor 🙄 why don't they put both the options on interface

So I might guess there is a import under SSH? but it be nice for the format Export from old models supported on new models

    What I did:

Zyxel_Ivan gave me an interesting idea.

I downloaded the startup-config.conf file from both my FLEX200 and FLEX500H.
The file from the FLEX200 contains the full exported list of DHCP server entries.
The file from the FLEX500H was needed to understand its structure.

Using the SED tool (on Linux) I successfully adapted the original entries to match the format used in FLEX500H.

I then modified the startup-config.conf file for the FLEX500H by adding the necessary lines.

Now I can't upload it to the device using the standard tool because I get an error message saying "file is protected."
    The file cannot be overwritten.

Does anyone have an idea how to overcome this barrier?

You cannot upload a configuration file named startup-config.conf, please adjust the configuration file name and upload again, then apply it afterwards.

Thanks to your guidance, I completed this task successfully.

also a suggestion for those who would follow this path in the future.
The host name is handled very strictly:

When I prepared my list for import the host names were more developed. These lines were imported correctly but the host names were replaced by the MAC address.

Thank you all for your suggestions and support.

    A little more update 😉

hosts with identical names have been ignored and excluded on import.
It's a bit of a shame because the previous model had a more friendly policy in this regard.

When creating a static IP, it does not allow a duplicate hostname.

It would be best when making a static IP that their is no host name option as its not needed for the client to get the IP from the DHCP server based on MAC to what IP it should have.

So instead of host name box just have description that allows duplicate
