Hello folks,

Are there wildcards that can be used in Web Content Filter —> Trusted Web Sites and in DNS Content Filter —> Allowed sites ? for example *.google.com works with any 3th level domain?

I refer to ATP / USG Flex Series, don't know if there are differences in H series

Searched a little bit in the community but did not find ;-)

    Both Trusted Web Sites and Allow list allow wildcards. “*” can be used as a wildcard to match any string. The entry must contain at least one “.” or it will be invalid.

    So for example:

    *.com would affect any url with TLD .com (google.com www.google.com account.facebook.com etc)

    Does * work with letters as well? I mean for example: *.*text*.* would affect any domain which has the part "text" in the second level? Like www.text.com www.mytext.com account.justtextnow.edu

    Is there a guide?

    Apart from * are there other wildcards?

    yes, it works with letter. For example, testtext.com works with *text.com
