I setup roaming on a flex 700. Trying to setup roaming on a 700H.
The interface to setup a 700 v 700H is very different.

Is there a walk-thru of how to setup "roaming" on a H-series?

For example in the 700, you setup the "Forwarding Mode:" (mine is tunnel).
And the interface "ge12",

Both of these in the Object / AP Profile/ SSID profile.

On the 700H, I can't find where I set the "zone" or select the "interface"?
And where in the 700H do I select the "Radio Mode:" OP Mode, AP Mode, Mon Mode, Root AP, Repeater?

The 700H is very hard to find things that were critical in the 700..

    Hi @jef ,

Since the USG FLEX 700 and USG FLEX 700H use different operating systems, there are differences in their configuration. Regarding your concerns, please refer to the guide below:

    • SSID and radio-related settings are located in the path: Wireless > WLAN Settings

    • Since there is no built-in AP in the USG FLEX 700H and 700, there is no Outgoing Interface option in the SSID profile. This option only appears in the SSID profile for firewalls that include a built-in AP, such as the USG FLEX 50AX.

    • With the USG FLEX 700H, you don't need to choose a Radio mode. By default, the AP operates in AP mode. If you enable Smart Mesh, the AP mode will automatically change to Root AP when there is a wired uplink connection, and to Repeater AP when there is a wireless uplink connection.

For more information about configuring the USG FLEX 700H, please refer to this User Guide.

Regarding your question about "how to setup roaming on an H-series," we understand that you want to enable roaming between wireless clients connected to APs managed by the USG FLEX H.
To enable wireless client roaming, configure the SSID with the same name and security profile across all APs (or place the APs in the same group), and ensure there is approximately 15-20% signal overlap between APs.

I still have a few questions that the User manual skimps on.

Can you explain the VLAN ID:
User manual says: "This shows the VLAN ID for the AP to use to tag traffic originating from this SSID."
BUT… How, When and Why do I configure VLAN and PVD or PVID and "LAN x" and "Allowed VLans"?
What control is that giving me. Is this where I assign the "interface".?
