    Hi @jef ,

The DHCP server configurations in the General tab (eth103) and Internal tab (VLAN) are different and independent. This means when you make configuration changes under the General tab, it doesn't affect the Internal tab settings.

    In detail:

General tab's eth103 DHCP server is for the Ethernet interface. For example, when your client connects directly to the 700H's port 14, the client will obtain an IP from the Ethernet interface's DHCP server.

Internal tab's VLAN DHCP server is for the VLAN interface. For example, when your client connects to a switch that is connected to the 700H's port 14, and the switch ports are configured with the same VLAN as the VLAN interface, the client will obtain an IP from the VLAN interface's DHCP server.

    Hi @jef ,

This behavior occurs because port 14 is an individual port and doesn't have an ethernet interface by default. Therefore, port 14 requires an ethernet interface to create a VLAN interface. When you create a VLAN interface, the system automatically creates the ethernet interface "eth104" to ensure proper system operation.

For USG FLEX 700H, ports 1, 2, 13, and 14 are defined as individual ports (for more information, please reference the 700H User's Guide pages 122 and 123).

Thank you. I did read from page 122.
What would the difference be if the "DHCP server was configure on the eth103 (under general), rather then configuring the DHCP server on the Internal interface reference for SFP port?

When you would make configuration changes under general, oppose to making the changes under Internal, or External?
