You can edit the local rasphone.pbk file (usually under %appdata%\roaming\……\connections\pbk) and change the value of "UseRasCredentials=0"

Simple idea: can you write a batch file on the windows client, first connecting the VPN tunnel and then performing whichever commands you do afterwards manually to connect to your shares?
