Zyxel NWA50AX PRO - Solid green LED - Not responding - No IP - No Wifi
Good evening everyone,
I'm having trouble with my Zyxel NWA50AX PRO—the device just stopped working overnight. Even though it gets warm when powered up (same temperature range as my other two units), and the status LED stays solid green (which should mean it's connected to clients, but in this case, it never switches off—so that's not normal).
The Ethernet port blinks orange, but:
- The device doesn’t receive an IP address from the router.
- It isn’t broadcasting any Wi-Fi signal.
- It doesn’t show up as a connected device in NEBULA.
- When I connect via UART, there’s no output at all (I’ve confirmed my UART adapter works with other hardware).
- The RESET button doesn’t do anything, regardless of whether it’s pressed during operation or while plugging the unit in—tried holding it for 10, 20, 30 seconds, etc.
I’m out of ideas on what to try next.
Does anyone have suggestions?
It was running Zyxel’s stock firmware.
Other 2 devices on this particular site works as they should, there was no power failure etc..

Hi @Mar_Cin,
Given the comprehensive troubleshooting you've already performed, the most probable cause is a hardware failure. We recommend initiating an RMA process for a hardware replacement.
