DCS Bug?

I have a few Flex 200H on APC version 7.25.2 and WBE530 APs (on 7.20.3). I've seen several instances where DCS doesn't seem to work correctly. It will select conflicting channels when an AP boots up. Manually selecting DCS will cause a few APs to both switch to the same channel (like they are not coordinating). On 2.4GHz (with 3 channel deployment selected), I saw it select channel 7 until I manually DCSed it and then 2 of the 3 APs ended up on channel 6.

Also if we are in a wide band mode (40/80/160 MHz), how do the channel numbers match up to the wide channels? I have 5GHz set to 40MHz and two APs are on channels 153 and 157. Are these overlapping for 40MHz? 40MHz Ch 151 is supposed to be Ch 149/153 while 40MHz Ch 159 is supposed to be Ch 157/161. If I am manually selecting channels, what would a correct selection be to use Ch151 and Ch 159?

Can we get a feature update so that the wide channels use the correct channel numbers to make it clear which channel and width it is on? e.g.

    Hi @Matthew,

Regarding the 2.4 GHz case, since you selected Three-Channel Deployment but saw the AP switch to channel 7, kindly help collect the Diagnostics Infofile after running DCS when the channel is not 1, 6, or 11, so we can further investigate the issue.

As for the 5 GHz case — with 40 MHz channel width, the APs on channels 153 and 157 are actually using:

    • Channel 153 → Ch 149 + 153
    • Channel 157 → Ch 157 + 161

There’s no overlap between them. Additionally, their corresponding 40 MHz center channels are 151 and 159, respectively.
