Load a backup configuration file to a different device

If I have two 700H devices, both with the same firmware version.
Can I export the configuration file from the "live" firewall and load it into the "backup" firewall without issue?

I read about HA devices and that wont work in the current environment, I have limited fiber to the remote switches, both can not be connected to the same resources.

I was thinking about having a "cold" backup ready in case of disaster using the 2nd 700H. If only 1 device was powered on and all the ports were plugged in, at any given time, this would be a viable solution.

Can I have a cold backup device with updated configuration copies loaded into it?

Hi @jef

Basically, you can do this. The backup configuration from the first 700H can restore and apply to the second 700H. However, please note that you should isolate the second 700H when applying the configuration. Connecting to your network will cause issue.
