Hi

I cant wait for a Trial Model I have to ship one AP fast to a remote location.

Later I will build a Zyxel Hotspot System. Can the AP run as Standalone?

I found no info inside the Partner Portal beside of this existence...

Yes, WAC6502D-E supports triple mode when using the latest firmware version 5.50, now you can download it on the Zyxel website, so it can run as standalone AP , managed AP and cloud mode.

As the livealive said, the WAC6502D-E must use latest FW version 5.50 can support triple mode.

If you are interest in the trial mode, the WAC6500 series, WAC6103D-S, WAC6303D-S and NWA5123-AC HD all support it. You can select the AP one of them for test.😉

@livealive sadly the link dont show this AP. I cant fine any info about that AP.

@Zyxel_KathyLinI ask the local sales team and the told me there is No AP for atrial aviable now.

I never will use the clode stuff. I will Manange it only locally.

The WAC6502D-E default setting is standalone mode.

What kinds of other information about the AP you are interesting?

So today it arrived and I updated the current FW.

In the Interoperability report say: "U-APSD/WMM is required for the most optimal battery usage." Sow hat is WMM?

Radio profile -> 11a/n, 20mhz, dsc, dsc client aware, channel 36, 40, 44, 48

Why i cant config the Guard Interval: setting? Its gray and on "short" i have to select long.

WMM stands for Wi-Fi Multimedia, which is standard created to define quality of service(QoS) . It maintains the priority of audio, video and voice, over other applications which are less time critical. It can let the applications that require better throughput and performance get the higher priority in the queues. For example, video and audio applications are given higher priority over applications such as FTP.

By the way, Thanks for the Guard Interval setting sharing, we will enhance it and let the GUI become friendly.

Currently, there is a workaround for you to set the Guard Interval to long.

1 Change Channel Width from 20MHz to 20/40MHz, you will see the Guard Interval can be select.

2 Select the Long setting and go back to change channel Width to 20MHz.

So I update the settings and thankfully nobody told me that the AP reset them self...

So I will try the new FW.
