Cannot find VMG8825-T50K latest firmware

Hi,

I cannot find the latest firmware for VMG8825-T50K router. I noticed that it is end-of-life as of 2024-12-30, however, I'd still like to update the latest firmware (possibly 5.50(ABOM8.5)C0 ?) to my existing router.

    I think you may need to ask the store where you purchased the VMG8825-T50K for the latest firmware.

    Hi,

    Thank you Liba for your comment. However, I don't think the store provides firmware for any products. My version of the router is a full retail version, not connected to ISPs or locked in any way. So far the firmware has always been available on Zyxel support site downloads up until version 5.50(ABOM8.4)C0, however, I guess it's due to product end-of-life that the firmware has been removed from the Zyxel support site. For some reason the link to the latest fw cannot be found even on the end-of-life product page even though that page has links to latest firmware of many other end-of-life products.

    you will find it here (there is a logic in the paths for downloading):

    The latest i have is V5.50(ABOM.8.7)C0 which my users have been using since January.

    I upgraded firmware from the link bellow and checked mark to restart at default. Now I am not able to login at router. I tried admin/admin and also I tried password printed on router label neither on working to login into admin account. I also tried reset router at default settings pressing reset button 20 seconds and still I am not able to log in into router. Any help how I can restore router access ?
    Before last firmware upgrade in router was firmware V5.5(ABOM.8.3)C0.D02 and default was admin/admin after reset. Now with firmware upgrade form link upper I can not access router.
    Please any help how I can recover ?
