Zyxel FWA505 cannot detect the SIM card

I'm trying to set up the router I just received through Amazon. The initial setup was completed successfully: I changed the admin password, the Wi-Fi network name, and the Wi-Fi password.

However, the mobile signal light keeps blinking continuously. In the control panel, I see the message: "SIM Card Status: NONE".

It seems that the router cannot detect the SIM card. The micro SIM is inserted correctly according to the icon shown on the router.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this issue?

    Hi @Wiski

    May I know if your SIM card is detectable on another device like your smartphone?

    If so, please help to find another SIM card to do a cross check.

    Yes, I carried out the following tests:
    I inserted the Iliad SIM card from the router into my smartphone and disabled the Iliad SIM PIN request.The Iliad SIM card was recognized correctly, and the mobile data connection worked without any issues. I was able to make calls and access the internet successfully. Instead into the router the problem persists.
    Next, I then inserted the Vodafone SIM card (another provider) from my smartphone into the router, but unfortunately the same message was displayed:
    "SIM card status: NONE"
    This suggests that the issue is not related to the Iliad SIM card itself.
    At this point, I believe the only solution is to request a replacement or a refund from Amazon.
    However, if you believe there are any other troubleshooting steps I could try, please let me know. Also, if technical support is available in Lombardy, Italy, I would appreciate any information on how to contact them.
