XGS2220-30F MVP / Multicast forwarding stop working after aprx. 1hr

I am using MVP function to forward Multicast IPTV traffic to different VLANs. This works as expected for about 1hr after start of the switch. Then no more traffic is forwarded. This is independent of the switch port / destination WLAN and also the multicast stream.

Following things have been checked / observed:

  • Source-port ingress multicast counter keeps incrementing in the failed state (traffic is arriving).
  • Receiver-port egress multicast counter does not increase any more.
  • The multicast/IGMP membership table stays correct /unchanged. Also its updated correctly if a new multicast is requested by client. But no traffic reaches the destination.
  • Toggling MVR/IGMP snooping in the GUI does not recover it; only a full reboot does.
  • Static Multicast Groups also stop.
  • I do not observe any abnormally high CPU / Ram load.

I am already running V5.00(ABYE.1) which mentiones a bugfix for multicast related issues "1. [eITS#250700551] Fixed an issue where multicast streams could fail to be forwarded to IGMP snooping group member ports." Maybe there is more to the issue?

    Thanks for the details. Since the issue happens after working for about 1 hour, your configuration should be correctly configured.

    Could you help to share these information so we can better investigate this issue:

    1. Your network topology.
    2. Device's tech support. FAQ Please help to collect once when working and when issue happens.
