[USG Flex H] - Secondary firmware image/partition
Master Member
Hello,
I have an USG Flex H firewall and seems that is not present the possibility to boot up the firewall from a secondary boot partition.
In some other brand (I have two switches of other brand), there is a possibility to boot up the system from two images; those images containing the firmware and I can choice what image upgrade and what image is the next running boot.
For example, I use those images switching them between updates:
- Image1: Previous firmware
- Image2: Current firmware (boot)
When I need to perform the upgrade, I choice the oldest image and upgrade this, then I switch the boot image, in this way I obtain:
- Image1: Current firmware (boot)
- Image2: Previous firmware
In this way, I have always a previous/working firmware, and if there is a failure or feature failure on the current, I can boot up the previous/working firmware waiting a patch to the current.
It's possible to implement this on our USG Flex H?
Thank you

Hi @MCFH,
Thank you, I will try it.
Meanwhile, I opened an idea to enable this configuration directly from the GUI without enter those commands.
