Hello,

I am trying to use a Zyxel DX3301-T0 directly with my Vodafone VDSL connection.

The physical line is a Telekom line in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with a Vodafone VDSL contract.

Hardware / connection:

  • Zyxel DX3301-T0
  • Firmware: V5.50(ABVY.7.2)C0
  • VDSL over PTM
  • DSL sync: approximately 201 Mbit/s down / 42 Mbit/s up

I have attached screenshots of the IPv4 and IPv6 configurations as well as the corresponding logs.
I believe the configuration should be IPv6 + DS-Lite.

IPv6 / DS-Lite test

  • Mode IPv6 Only
  • PPPoE
  • DS-Lite: enabled
  • DS-Lite Relay Server: automatically configured via DHCP
  • IPv6 address: automatic
  • IPv6 DNS: automatic
  • VLAN q: 7, p: 0
  • MTU 1492
  • DHCPv6 “IPv6 Address From DHCPv6 Server”: enabled

The Vodafone authentication seem to work, the log shows:

CHAP authentication succeeded: access accepted : vodafone-vdsl.komplett/[...]
CHAP authentication succeeded
state: up
type: ipv6

But I don't get a connection. I am a bit lost and don't know how to proceed, I would welcome any suggestions.

I think Vodafone does not use ds-lite via vdsl at a telekom VDSL and IPv6 only but dual stack with both IPv4 and 6 . To test you can try with only IPv4 connection . If you configure as ds-lite not configure fo IPv4 too - choose "obtain other informations from server" The rest seems ok …
