Hi, I'm trying to keep my old NAS326 updated, I successfully installed transmission 3 through Entware repository and it run pretty well, the only issue is the downloaded files permissions which do not allow me to move/delete them via samba/AFP (on mac). I manually chmod the "downloads" folder and now I can move out the existing files but any new one gets some strict permissions and I need to use the file browser to move or delete them. Is there a way to set permission of downloaded files in order to access them via samba/AFP? Transmission-daemon run as root, but I could not install it otherwise, afak (I'm sorry, I'm not an expert and I'm not always sure about what I'm doing...).
Thanks for any help.

According to the documentation you have to set 'umask' to 0.

And it worked! Amazing, thanks again! I checked randomly some files and directories on my nas and it seems the standard permission setting is 777. Is it right and safe or there is something wrong in that? Thanks a lot for your help!
