Hello All,

I am new to this kind of device, and I am not sure I do have set it up correctly.
I want to set it up as modem only, because I have my own firewall/DHCP server.
At the moment, hosts on the LAN are able to connect the internet, but I cannot see them from outside.

System Info reports:
VDSL WAN Port1 Rx:188045 Tx:21600 (Kbps)
VDSL WAN Port2 Connection down

In Broadband, I have:
#     Name     Type     Mode     Encapsulation     802.1p     802.1q     NAT     Default Gateway     IPv6     Modify
1     Bridge_ATM     ATM     Bridge     Bridge     N/A     N/A     N     N     N
2     Bridge_PTM     PTM     Routing     PPPoE         0     835     Y

In Firewall, IPV4 and IPV6 are unselected.

I expected to find a NAT menu, but I cannot find it.
The provider requires PPPoE routed, incapsulation PTM, NAT active, VLAN 835.

What am I missing?

Thanks for your comments,

-GianLuca

    Hello @Gian

Looking in the user guide at ftp://ftp.zyxel.com/VMG4005-B50A/user_guide/VMG4005-B50A_V5.15.pdf I can not see an easy way for you to set-up access from your VDSL WAN connection and the Internet to your LAN using this device. The user guide does not mention any DMZ type settings or ways to modify the firewall.

    Kind regards,
        Tony

Thanks for your kind reply, Tony.
I see.. there is no mention of the word NAT in all the user guide.
    It is a huge limitation.
