New firmware on 5.13 AAXA lineup for VMG1312-B10D with a new Linux kernel in it?

Hello,

Could there be a new version of firmware for VMG1312-B10D 5.13 AAXA line-up with a newer Linux kernel in it please?

3.4.11 LTS expired in October 2016.

4.4 LTS has support until February 2022.

4.9 LTS has support until January 2023.

4.14 LTS has support until January 2024 , see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_kernel_version_history 

Could I try to build the firmware from the modified GPL OSS source?
