Port Forwarding allows you to access the Internal server from the internet

Topology:

For example, the web interface of NAS is used port 80 for internal.

Created a port forward rule as an external port: 8898 <-Port Mapping-> internal port: 80.

After setting the rule up, it is able to access the web interface of the NAS from the internet.

Here are the steps to set external port numbers to map your internal port numbers.

Step 2:Enable Port Forwarding.

Step 3: Add Rule.

Step 4: Set up port forwarding rule e.g external port: 8898 <-Port Mapping-> internal port: 80.

Step 5: Click apply to activate NAT&Port Forwarding.

Step 6: Check what is your wan IP address

Access the internal server by accessing address X.X.X.X:8898
