Cannot access SMB via DNS but IP Ok.

I have a Zyxel VMG4927-B50A that I just installed. It is somehow blocking access to my SMB shares from my NAS but only via DNS names not by the IP address. I just installed it updating my old modem/router which had no issues accessing it. What settings do I need to modify to fix this?
