Nebula Firewall provides the option to let users authenticate into the internet with AD authentication, offering an integrated captive portal.

In this scenario, the AD server is external

Configure Steps

Go to Configure > Firewall > Firewall settings and create an AD server profile.

Go to Configure > Firewall > Authentication method, choose the LAN interface at which the clients should authenticate, and select the AD profile as Sign-on-with

(Optional) Enable "Walled Garden" and add domain names or IP addresses that the clients can access without authenticating through Captive Portal

Choose the Access Attribute to allow the user to have simultaneous logins or only a device.

Go to Configure > Firewall > Captive Portal. You can upload a logo and customize the captive portal page.

Test Result

Connect a laptop to the LAN1 interface and open the browser. You will be redirected to the captive portal login page.

A “success” message will be displayed after successful authentication.
