NR7101 Poor throughput (No 5GNSA ?). Confused with Firmware versions

    Hello @k1s

    What is the current modem firmware installed in your NR7101?
      (Figure 105 in the user guide will show you where to find out.)

    It might be that you already have version 06 and that you need version 07.

    Also, are the modem firmware names the same otherwise?

    Hi folks, 

    I've just bought my first NR7101 and I am hitting what sounds like a similar issue to this. 
    I can't see any version reported in "Current LTE Module Version" (whether with SIM or not). Trying the Module Upgrade (via ethernet) doesn't seem to do anything: the screen appears to be loading, I leave it for more than 30 minutes and the screen is still loading...  

    I'm now on "Current Firmware Version: 1.00(ABUV.4)C0". (I upgraded to this from v.2 that the router came with). Originally, the module worked because I could get connectivity to the internet - but not more than 100mbit, and my phone could do 400+ mbit on the same speedtest right next to the zyxel. However, it is not the firmware upgrade that caused the LTE module to stop working, because it did work even after the upgrade. 

    If anyone has some ideas / thoughts about what I can try, please let me know!

    Check your LAN cable if it is 1000/Full or just 100. I had the same poor speed as you because of the ethernet cable, dont know if it is your problem.....

    Hi Tony, the current modem and LTE module firmware are (top of the first post):
    Current Firmware Version: V1.15(ACCC.0)C0
    Current LTE Module Version: RG502QEAAAR11A03M4G

    Not sure what you mean by this?: 
    Also, are the modem firmware names the same otherwise?

    I the meantime, ZyXEL tech support came back and gave this download link:

    In my case the modem module firmware version did not appear until the SIM was inserted, then robooted AND then connected to the internet

    I discovered that even upon successful upgrade the browser window simply doesn't refresh. It seems you can see if the upgrade worked after 15 minutes by duplicating the browser tab and logging in again
