@maturbanowicz,
Our datasheet has mentioned that 10G port links on 1G/10G, it's the hardware spec.
For GPON, XGS1210 does not support GPON transceiver.
However, we have some users on worldwide who help us test some 3rd part transceivers and gets works, please refer to this post Support for 2.5G SFP+ transceivers? — Zyxel Community (This case is using SFP-to RJ45 module and link on 1G)
Again, we do not guarantee 2.5G always works well on SFP port officially.Chris

Hello, I'm trying to find out, if the 2.5G GPON SFP will work at 2.5G speed in XGS1250-12.
I can't find switches where is said that the 10G SFP+ port can handle 2.5G.
Thank you for your help!0 -
Probably it will not work. Actually I tried it (SFP 2.5 TP-LINK TL-SM410U) on my XGS-1210-12 - it seems that "hardware link" is established (I checked it "on the other side") but switch itself is not able to communicate with the transceiver. Hi @mparka,
Thanks for sharing your test result.

Although we have some users on worldwide who help us test some 3rd part transceivers and gets works, we do not guarantee 2.5G always works well on SFP port officially.
