Router fibra fttc

Options
Gentili buongiorno

Grazie
ilario

    Hello @ilario

Using Google Translate, I see that you ask:
    "Dear good morning
I would need to buy a latest generation Zyxel router for a vodafone operator fttc fiber line.
i can't figure out if the AX6000 12 will fit, however it doesn't have the port for the landline phone.

can you please suggest me a product?

    Thank you
    hilar"

Looking at https://www.zyxel.com/global/en/products/wifi-router/ax6000-12-stream-multi-gigabit-wifi-6-router-armor-g5/overview you are correct that it does not have a connection for a landline telephone.

It could work well on an fttc fiber line as the WAN port goes up to 2.5 Gbps.

You could do the telephone connection with an external item, such as a Grandstream HT812 ATA, see http://www.grandstream.com/products/gateways-and-atas/analog-telephone-adaptors/product/ht812 which I have been using successfully at home.

    Kind regards,
        Tony

    Hello @ilario Ilario

    You're welcome.

The following link would be a good basis for my reply, see https://www.thinkbroadband.com/guides/fibre-fttc-ftth-broadband-guide

If the fibre comes directly to your premises, then it is fibre to the home (FTTH), and you would then need to connect the Zyxel device to a fibre optical network terminal (ONT) device (from Vodafone) with a copper cable.

If the fibre stops at a primary cross connection place with copper in the last kilometre, then it is fibre to the curb/cabinet. You would then connect the Zyxel device to the copper cable at its network termination unit (NTU) (from Vodafone.)

    Kind regards,
         Tony
