hello,

on my nas 542, the twonky server has disappeared.
I think but I'm not sure if it's due to the firmware update.
Can you confirm me the deletion of Twonky or is it a bug?

That other thread is from 2020, so it's not the last firmware update which killed Twonky. I never used Twonky myself, but AFAIK it's a build-in function, and so it won't show up in ../.PKG/.
Maybe something is wrong with it's cache, preventing it to start. You could try to rename /i-data/.media/twonkymedia and reboot.

    Hi @sitro

After check the configuration of the twonky server, the port of the server has been changed to other port.
If you need to change the port back to 9001, you can use winscp to get the file from the NAS and after modified it, and then put the file back.

Before modified it, please always copy a original file before doing any action on it.

I don't know what is winscp. I'm on linux station.
No, you are making a mistake.
In the configuration file, the port is 9001 for http and 9443 for https (TLS). There is no change at this level.
Anyway, as you can see in the scan of open ports, neither of them are open.

ok, Answered on the other thread
  • Twonky is gone – out of business and “deprecated” even though it worked well and I miss it dearly on my EX2 and EX4100 NASes. I’m looking for something and I’ve gotten Plex – it works, but I don’t like it. Twonky was good for me because it allowed me to use the Windows directory structure to find stored movie files.  :#

What do you mean the twonky is gone? If you had enable the service on NAS, you'll see it on the web GUI
