ZyXEL 5101 NR

Normally, my zyxel 5101 has three LEDs on: green - blue - green, and they are on constantly. From time to time the blue LED starts to flash incessantly, which I can only stop by logging into the web interface and making any change in the configuration.
What is the reason for the blinking of the BLUE LED?

Hello @beatus
According to the NR5101 user guide I have just downloaded from https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/4403365084818-Advanced-Downloads-for-5G-devices there should not ever be a flashing blue LED.
- Blue should only ever appear solid on an LED according to table 2 of the user guide.
Can you please say which LED is flashing Blue?
Can you also please say which firmware release you have?
- something might have changed, but I cannot see the release notes.
Kind regards,

Hello @beatus
Blue on the Internet LED means connected to a 5G network.
Does it flash on and off, or between Blue and Green?
- Green on the Internet LED would mean connected to 3G/4G.
- Blinking Green would mean a new SMS message.
Kind regards,

Lot’s of question Tony…..
As I said already it is FLASHING ON and OFF
not between Blue and Green
And I know, that green means new SMS
Once again for you: it is flashing BLUE ON and OFF1 -
I'm also jumping in. Mine NR5101 also blinking blue. According to the manual there is no mention of blinking blue light?

I have submitted a support ticket at ZyXEL for more information.

Got a response from Zyxel support with this answer:
On checking the issue with the blinking like refers to either low signal (which doesn't necessarily need low speed) or a issue with the simcard.1
