I want to open ports 943 (TCP) and 1194 (UDP) on my MX Linux (21.3) server. I installed the firewall and the ports are open according to te operating system:
sudo ufw status numbered
[sudo] password for gert:
Status: active
To Action From
-- ------ ----
[ 1] 22/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere[ 2] 943/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere[ 3] 1194/udp ALLOW IN Anywhere[ 4] 22/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)[ 5] 943/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)[ 6] 1194/udp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
Next, I log into the Zyxel emg3525-t50b router and go to: Network Settings, NAT, Port forwarding (landing page). The following changes were made:
(note that is my internal IP address, so I don't think I need to hide it).
I then restarted the router as well as the computer. I use:
to see if these ports are open (this application sees your external IP address).
These ports are not open??
Any kind advice will be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Have you tried to remove the firewall and use the tool to check open port again.
If still cannot see these ports, maybe you have to contact your ISP or retailer for request the new firmware or help.
