The mesh compatibility of Zyxel access points

Zyxel AP's Mesh functionality and Industry’s Open Mesh, Easy Mesh are different mesh systems that do not work with one another. So, Zyxel APs utilize wireless Mesh technology to connect exclusively with other Zyxel APs.

However, wireless clients can still roam between Zyxel APs and other devices (such as APs, routers, etc.) provided the following conditions are met:

• The SSID and security method must be identical.
• There should be an overlapping coverage of 15% to 20% between the two devices.
