In enterprise network scenarios, it is not uncommon to encounter issues where a wireless client cannot connect to the WiFi SSID. This may occur even when the SSID is authenticated by any encryption.

Steps

To diagnose the issue, we need to inspect the client's authentication attempts and the AP's information.

[Nebula side]

Go to Access point > Monitor > Clients on Nebula Cloud.

Check the authentication logs for the client (A0:A0:A0:A0:A0:A0).

If authentication fails are recorded, go to Access point > Configure > WiFi SSID settings > SSID advanced settings. Ensure the security type and sign-in method are correctly set up for the problematic SSID.

If no issues are found with the configurations on Nebula, it is common and possible that the client is using an incorrect profile.

[Client side]

The client needs to forget/delete the SSID and then rejoin the WiFi network with correct security method.

Check if new driver is available for client and install latest version.

Verification

Check whether the client (A0:A0:A0:A0:A0:A0) can now connect to the SSID with no recurring authentication failures and the connection remains stable.

Confirm that no other clients are experiencing similar issues.

Noted

Make sure the client is within the coverage area of the AP. Signal strength can impact the client's ability to connect.
