Scenario & Question:

Sometimes we might encounter a situation where the WAN port is down, resulting in no internet connectivity due to unexpected reasons. In this scenario, can the user still log in to the device using a 2FA code?

Answer:

Yes, the user can still utilize the Google Authenticator code or backup codes to complete the 2FA procedure and log in to the device normally, even if the firewall lacks an internet connection.

STEP1. The device's WAN port is down and trying to log in to the device from the LAN port.

STEP2. Enter the Google Authenticator code or backup codes.

STEP3.Login to the device Web-GUI successfully, even if the WAN port is down and no internet connectivity.
