Why isn't the Mobile Router broadcasting the Nebula SSID?
Scenario
You have a Nebula Mobile Router and you've noticed that there is a menu to set the SSID on Nebula. After setting up the SSID, you find that your laptop is unable to detect the SSID you've just configured.
Root cause
The issue arises because the WiFi SSID settings feature on the Nebula platform is currently designed to work with AP (Access Points) and SCR 50AXE models only. The Nebula Mobile Router is not supported for this feature at the time of this writing.
Solution
If you are using a Nebula Mobile Router, you will need to configure the SSID settings directly through the Mobile Router's local web interface. Here's how to do it:
- Open your web browser and enter the IP address of your Nebula Mobile Router to access its local web interface.
- Navigate to Network Setting > Wireless > General
Note
The ability to configure the Nebula Mobile Router's SSID directly from the Nebula portal is on our development roadmap. We are actively working on this feature, so please follow us for updates on enhancements and new features.
