Scenario

You're experiencing limited Wi-Fi coverage in certain areas of your location and want to know if adjusting the maximum output power on your Zyxel AP could help improve the situation.

Configuration Steps

  1. Log into the web interface of your Zyxel AP using its IP address.
  2. Go to Configuration > Wireless > AP Management
  3. You'll find options for Radio 1 Setting and Radio 2 Setting. Choose the radio you want to adjust.
  4. Locate the Max Output Power field. You can adjust this value to control the maximum output power of your AP. The value can range from 0 to 30 dBm.

Note

  • Adjusting the maximum output power can help extend the range of your AP, but be cautious. Increasing the power too much can cause interference with other devices.
  • If your area has many networking devices, consider lowering the output power to minimize interference.
