Scenario
You're experiencing limited Wi-Fi coverage in certain areas of your location and want to know if adjusting the maximum output power on your Zyxel AP could help improve the situation.
Configuration Steps
- Log into the web interface of your Zyxel AP using its IP address.
- Go to
Configuration > Wireless > AP Management
- You'll find options for
Radio 1 Setting
andRadio 2 Setting
. Choose the radio you want to adjust. - Locate the
Max Output Power
field. You can adjust this value to control the maximum output power of your AP. The value can range from 0 to 30 dBm.
Note
- Adjusting the maximum output power can help extend the range of your AP, but be cautious. Increasing the power too much can cause interference with other devices.
- If your area has many networking devices, consider lowering the output power to minimize interference.
