How to determine if your Mobile Router is Nebula-compatible or not?
Introduction:
Zyxel offers two categories of mobile routers: Nebula-compatible and non-Nebula-compatible. This guide aims to assist you in identifying the type of your device.
Identifying Device Labels:
Devices that are compatible with Nebula management are explicitly labeled with the term "Nebula" on their stickers. For visual reference, please consult the sticker photo for Nebula-supported versions.
Understanding Firmware Versions:
Zyxel mobile routers come with two distinct types of firmware versions, depending on whether they are Nebula-compatible or not. Below is a table outlining the firmware versions for various Nebula model.
Model | Type | Technology | Firmware |
---|---|---|---|
Nebula FWA505 | Indoor | 5G | ACKO |
Nebula FWA710 | Outdoor | 5G | ACGC |
Nebula FWA510 | Indoor | 5G | ACGD |
Nebula NR7101 | Outdoor | 5G | ACCC |
Nebula NR5101 | Indoor | 5G | ACCG |
Nebula LTE3301-PLUS | Outdoor | 4G | ACCA |
Nebula LTE 7461-M602 | Indoor | 4G | ACEV |
For example:
Nebula NR7101 Firmware: ACCC
Non-Nebula NR7101 Firmware: ABUV
Important Note:
If you install non-Nebula firmware on a Nebula-compatible mobile router, the device will lose its ability to connect to Nebula management systems.
